Voivodeship Visa for 36 Months (Work Permit from a Transport Company)
A Voivodeship Visa (Type D) is a national work visa that allows you to legally live and work in Poland for an extended period — up to 36 months.
It is issued based on a work permit (Zezwolenie na pracę typ A), which is prepared by the Voivodeship Office at the request of your Polish employer.
The document specifies the exact employer, job position, duration, and employment conditions. You cannot change your employer without obtaining a new permit.
Most often, this visa is required for international truck drivers (C/CE categories) but it can also be used by other professionals if the employer requires long-term authorization.
