Visitor visa to Poland
A guest visa to Poland (Type C, private visit) is a Schengen visa issued on the basis of an official invitation from a private individual residing in Poland — either a Polish citizen or a foreign resident with a valid karta pobytu (residence card).
This visa allows you to legally visit Poland for up to 90 days within a 180-day period — for visiting relatives, friends, or short private trips without work purposes.

What is required
From the inviting person

From the invited person
- A passport valid for at least 3 months beyond the planned departure date.
- Photo 3.5×4.5 cm.
- Visa application form Type C (private visit).
- Medical insurance covering at least €30,000.
- Proof of financial means (bank statement or sponsorship letter).
- The original invitation and a copy of the inviter’s residence or ID document.
Processing time and validity
- Invitation preparation: 7–14 working days (depending on the voivodeship).
- Visa processing: about 15 working days after submission.
- Visa validity: up to 90 days of stay.

- The guest visa does not grant the right to work in Poland.
