Basis for the Visa

The basic requirement is an invitation from a Polish educational institution confirming the child’s enrollment for studies on specific dates.

What the invitation includes:
• School details (name, address, contacts)
• Confirmation of enrollment
• Start and end dates of the program
• Brief description of the curriculum
• Details of the person responsible for the student (for minors)

Issuance timeframe for the invitation: on average 7–14 working days (depending on the school).

Document Package (mandatory for submission)
• Visa application form (completed and signed).
• Child’s photo 3.5×4.5 cm, color, white background, full face, taken within the last 6 months.
• Birth certificate — original + Polish translation by a sworn translator.
• Child’s passport, valid at least 3 months beyond the visa expiry date + minimum 2 blank pages.
• Parent’s/legal guardian’s ID/passport (for minors).
• Notarized parental consent for travel (if required depending on the route/accompanying persons).
• School invitation (prepared and provided).
• Proof of tuition payment (if the school is private)
• Financial documents: bank statement, parent’s income certificate, sponsor letter if available
• Proof of accommodation in Poland: rental agreement/hostel or dorm booking
• Child’s medical insurance for the entire stay, coverage at least €30,000, valid in the Schengen zone; insurance provider must be recognized by the Polish consulate.

Timeline (indicative)
• School invitation: 7–14 working days
• Visa processing: ~14 working days after submission of the full package to the Consulate/VC of the Republic of Poland.
