Processing Time for a Canadian Visitor Visa

The processing time for a Canadian visitor visa application — Visitor Visa / Temporary Resident Visa — depends on:

  • the country from which the application is submitted;
  • the current workload of IRCC;
  • the accuracy and completeness of the submitted documents.

The estimated processing time for Ukrainian citizens applying online from outside Canada is approximately 30–50 calendar days, excluding the time required for biometrics collection and passport delivery.

The exact processing time can be checked on the official IRCC website — Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada — by selecting:

  • Application type: Visitor visa (from outside Canada)
  • Country of application: Ukraine

Please also take into account:

  • periods of high demand, such as summer months and holidays;
  • possible requests for additional documents.

We recommend submitting the application in advance — at least 2–3 months before the planned trip — to reduce the risk of delays.
