Full job description
Workplace and duties
Abbenes, Netherlands. Work in fields and a packing hall: cutting flowers, making bouquets, sorting and packing. The team usually alternates a day in the fields with a day in the hall. Flowers include peonies, sunflowers, China asters and other varieties. Indoor temperature is about +18 °C.
Pay and contracts
Rate: EUR 14.99 gross/hour. A Dutch contract is possible with a residence sticker: net pay depends on individual tax, with weekly payments. A Polish umowa o pracę is offered to candidates with a visa, residence card or Diia PL: the offer states EUR 8.50 net/hour after tax and accommodation costs, paid monthly by the 10th. Neither arrangement provides advances. The contract and eligibility of your documents must be agreed before travel.
Schedule and breaks
Monday–Friday, with possible working Saturdays. Day shift 07:00–17:00, averaging 48 hours a week. Three unpaid breaks: 15, 30 and 15 minutes.
Accommodation
EUR 150/week. With a Polish umowa o pracę, the cost is deducted from wages; the EUR 8.50 net figure above already accounts for accommodation. With a Dutch contract, EUR 150 for the first week is due immediately on arrival. Twin rooms, shared kitchen, bathroom and living room, Wi-Fi, parking and bicycle storage; shops nearby. Bring your own bed linen, duvet and pillow.
Transport and driver supplement
Travel to work by minibus, approximately 40 km; the daily commute price is not specified. Driving an 8-seat minibus and transporting colleagues earns an additional EUR 5 gross per working day. Organised travel from Wrocław to the workplace costs PLN 400, payable directly to the driver; independent travel is also possible.
Clothing and preparation
Bring comfortable work clothes and safety footwear with a metal toe cap. Raincoats, gloves and rubber boots are usually provided by the employer, but bringing your own is recommended. The current card does not specify age, language requirements or a start date; these are to be agreed when arranging the placement.
